Moringa leaves and seeds have been used for thousands of years to treat serious disease and promote wound healing. The leaves are packed with nutritious compounds essential to human health.

The plant has only recently popped up on the radar of western scientists. As more and more studies are conducted, the benefits of this plant have begun to emerge. Watch this video to find out what research shows about moringa tea and how you can brew a tasty cup.
No1 It is packed with so many nutrients
Most of the healthy foods that we eat have a distinct standout nutrient. You can think in the line of vitamin A and carrots, vitamin C and citrus, and even vitamin E and nuts.
Moringa has been able to emerge as a superfood because just a cup of chopped leaves is taken to be a very good source of calcium, vitamin C, iron, riboflavin, and so many others.
Also, its leaves are much more concentrated in Vitamin C than what you will find in oranges. This simply means that Moringa can contribute practically everything from immunity down to better vision and even skin radiance.
No2 It is an ideal source of protein-based plant
It really does not matter if you are a vegan, or you are simply trying to cut down on all that meat. Well, it is actually not so easy to find a convenient, plant-based protein.
Sometimes you may just want a swift, no-need-to-cook add-in to sprinkle on your smoothie bowls or to add in your soup. This is right where Moringa introduces itself.
The powder from its crushed leaves are fully packed with a protein of about three grams using a tablespoon. In short, you can put in moringa as they contain all the necessary amino acids that are needed for energy generation and muscle repair
No3 It can balance our hormones
The age-old menopause has been known to throw the hormones of women straight out of whack and make them feel uneasy. Well, Moringa is here to help.
Research that was published in the journal of food and science Technology has revealed that women who were postmenopausal and made use of Moringa powder for three months saw some great results.
They did not only have reduced markers of oxidative stress, but these women also had ideal fasting blood glucose and highly increased hemoglobin levels. And, this means much more balanced hormones.
Furthermore, Moringa has been connected to improving thyroid health, and this controls the hormones that are linked to sleep, energy, and even digestion.
No4 It protects the liver
Think of your liver as the body's detoxifier. It filters the blood, detoxifies chemicals, and metabolizes fat—and Moringa may help it work better.
First off, Moringa contains high concentrations of polyphenols to reverse oxidation in our liver, and preliminary research has shown that Moringa consumption helps in reducing liver fibrosis as well as protects us against liver damage.
No5 It fights off free radicals
For those who are unaware, free radicals are developed by things such as fried food, pollution, and even sun exposure.
What they do is that they practically damage all of your cells by robbing them off electrons, and this causes oxidative stress, damages our cells and causes premature aging.
The antidote to all of this is antioxidants, just like the polyphenols, flavonoids, and ascorbic acid that’s is found in Moringa. If you follow a diet rich in antioxidants it will help prevent any form of premature wrinkles.
No6 It fights off inflammation
Moringa has come to push off turmeric in the battle of inflammation wars. As it stands, Moringa has been revealed to significantly reduce inflammation in our cells.
Asides from containing inflammation lowering polyphenols, Moringa also decreases inflammation through suppressing proteins and inflammatory enzymes in our body.
This helps to reduce or risk cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and even diabetes.
No 7 It balances our blood sugar
Bear in mind that, the spikes in both insulin and blood sugar are capable of causing mood swings, sugar cravings and can lead to the creation of diabetes type 2 plus obesity. Moringa comes in at this point.
Moringa leaf powder has been highly effective in decreasing both glucose and lipid levels as well as regulating oxidative stress in studies that have been carried out in labs.
Moreover, an animal study revealed that Moringa in a diet could aid in reducing weight gain as well as insulin resistance.
No8 It enhances digestion
Moringa leaf powder actually contains fiber of about thirty percent, and most of it is actually insoluble. You will not only need this for digestion, but you may also need it to decrease the risk of having certain diseases.
Note that, Moringa is known as a natural antibacterial and antibiotic, and it can aid in inhibiting any growth of pathogens that can lead to an upset in our digestive system.
Its anti-inflammatory properties can also aid in helping with some digestive disorders such as colitis.

High blood sugar occurs when your body can't effectively transport sugar from blood into cells.

When left unchecked, this can lead to diabetes.
Here are 13 easy ways to lower blood sugar levels naturally:

no1. Cinnamon Pills
Cinnamon has been shown to reduce blood sugars, although not effectively in post-menopausal women. In order to take enough cinnamon to lower your blood sugar, take it in capsule form.
no2. Control Your Carb Intake
Your body breaks carbs down into sugars -mostly glucose, and then insulin moves the sugars into cells.

When you eat too many carbs or have problems with insulin function, this process fails and blood glucose levels rise.

Many studies show that a low-carb diet helps reduce blood sugar levels and prevent blood sugar spikes

no3. Scale Back on Stress
Stressful situations can release hormones that will raise your blood sugar. If you are feeling anxious, try relaxation techniques like meditation and deep breathing to lower your blood sugar
no4. Eat Fenugreek Seeds
Fenugreek seeds are a great source of soluble fiber, which can help control blood sugar levels.

Many studies have shown that fenugreek can effectively lower blood sugar in diabetics. It also helps reduce fasting glucose and improve glucose tolerance

Although not that popular, fenugreek can easily be added to baked goods to help treat diabetes. You can also make fenugreek flour or brew it into tea

Fenugreek seeds are also considered one of the safest herbs for diabetes
No 5. Get More Sleep
Getting adequate sleep is a good way to help lessen your body's insulin resistance. You might even notice that you have higher blood sugar when you don't get enough sleep. Actually, bad sleep and high blood sugar is a bit of a vicious cycle — once your blood sugars get too high, you don't sleep well, and when you don't sleep well, your blood sugars keep climbing.
If you can manage it, scale back on whatever it is that keeps you up late, like watching TV or drinking too much caffeine.
No6. Implement Portion Control
Portion control helps regulate calorie intake and can lead to weight loss

Consequently, controlling your weight promotes healthy blood sugar levels and has been shown to reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes

Monitoring your serving sizes also helps reduce calorie intake and subsequent blood sugar spikes

No7 Chromium

Chromium is a mineral that performs a vital function in carbohydrate and fats metabolism and helps physique cells correctly reply to insulin. Research has discovered low ranges of chromium in individuals with diabetes.

There are lots of promising research suggesting chromium supplementation could also be efficient in lowering blood sugar levels, however its not conclusive.
No8. Exercise Regularly
Regular exercise can help you lose weight and increase insulin sensitivity.

Increased insulin sensitivity means your cells are better able to use the available sugar in your bloodstream.

Good forms of exercise include weight lifting, brisk walking, running, biking, dancing, hiking, swimming and more.
No9. Try Berberine
Berberine is the active component of a Chinese herb that's been used to treat diabetes for thousands of years.

Berberine has been shown to help lower blood sugar and enhance the breakdown of carbs for energy

What's more, berberine may be as effective as some blood sugar lowering drugs. This makes it one of the most effective supplements for those with diabetes or pre-diabetes

no10. Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar has been shown to help control blood sugar levels in both pre-diabetic and Type II diabetics. If you don't want to drink a couple tablespoons of it, it also comes in an extract, which can be easier to tolerate. Note that apple cider vinegar takes longer to lower blood sugar levels than other supplements, and may be more effective as a preventative measure than as a reactive one.
No11. Drink Water and Stay Hydrated
Drinking enough water may help you keep your blood sugar levels within healthy limits.

In addition to preventing dehydration, it helps your kidneys flush out the excess blood sugar through urine.
Keep in mind that water and other non-caloric beverages are best. Sugar-sweetened drinks raise blood glucose, drive weight gain and increase diabetes risk
No12. Increase Your Fiber Intake
Fiber slows carb digestion and sugar absorption. For these reasons, it promotes a more gradual rise in blood sugar levels.

Furthermore, the type of fiber you eat may play a role.

There are two kinds of fiber: insoluble and soluble. While both are important, soluble fiber specifically has been shown to lower blood sugar levels

how to cure fungal acne naturally
You've got acne that just won't seem to go away. It's red, sometimes itchy, and maybe a bit different to other acne you see from time to time.

Well, you might have something called fungal acne.

Fungal acne folliculitis is a type of acne, which is commonly misdiagnosed as just regular old bacterial-caused acne.

But the way to treat it is completely different, so unless you're aware of what it is, you could even be making the infection worse, not better.
At the end of this video I’m going to show the two best natural products to cure it

But first if you did’nt know Fungal acne is caused by a type of yeast. Although it's naturally found on the skin of many animals, including humans, being an opportunistic pathogen means it will sometimes form small bumps and pimples across the chest, arms, back or face.

Once the fungi has found a place to nestle into, it'll plug the follicle, feast on the oil on your skin and continue to replicate.

It thrives on heat, humidity, and overproduction of sebum. Things like, pollutants, fatigue, and basically anything that disrupts the balance of your skin microbiome can trigger this.

Because it looks so much like regular acne, it can be often mistaken and misdiagnosed as such. However, if you have catch the symptoms early, you can bust the blemishes in no time!

The use of immunosuppression drugs and antibiotics, can also disturb the balance between your natural skin bacteria and yeast, can also trigger breakouts.

WHAT ARE THE SIGNS OF FUNGAL ACNE?

1. It appears in clusters.

Your everyday pimple can appear alone. And if you have more than one, they’re usually spread out across your face. Fungal acne, on the other hand, appears in small, tiny bumps bunched together.

2. Its bumps are uniform in size.

It typically manifests as identical red pinpricks or whiteheads filled with pus. Plus, they’re never bigger than a millimeter—unlike the average zit, which comes in different shapes and proportions.

3. It’s itchy—like really itchy.

In most cases of fungal acne, patients report itchiness, pain, and burning sensations. This is because the yeast latches onto hair follicles, which begin to swell upon being infected.

4. It spreads way beyond the face.

Fungal acne feasts on sweaty and humid areas, which is why the hair, neck, shoulders, back, and chest are prone to infection.

5. It doesn’t respond to acne medication.

This is probably the most tell-tale sign. Your average zit-zapping solution is designed to fight bacteria, so it’s understandable why it has no effect on a fungal infection.

If you’ve checked most items on the list, then your skin is probably pointing you in this direction. Worry not, because there are solutions to your fungus fiasco!

So what should you do if you think you have fungal acne?

Go see a doctor. Hopefully they'll be able to look into it further and confirm your suspicions. In most cases they might offer you an antifungal cream, or oral antifungal.

HOW TO TREAT & PREVENT FUNGAL ACNE

1. Wear clean, natural, and breathable fabrics.

Sweating is inevitable, especially when you live a busy and active lifestyle. Make sure that the clothes you wear are light, well-ventilated, and sweat-wicking, especially when you work out. This way, heat and moisture aren’t trapped in after you exercise.

2. Skip the sugar.

If there’s anything that fungi love more than oil and humidity, its sugar. After all, ingesting high levels of refined sugar can directly increase sebum production and amp up inflammation. When you cut down on sugar, you starve the fungi. You’ll feel healthier and lighter too!

3. Explore antifungal treatments.

Consult your dermatologist, and take topical medication that specifically the issue at hand—these include antifungal ointments, creams, and dandruff shampoo. For an alternative option, try your hand at essential oils such as tea tree, oregano, and clove.

However, make sure your coconut oil is organic, as otherwise you risk clogging your pores.

no2. Skin moisturizer.

Okay, it’s not precisely a moisturizer, but its effects are remarkably similar.

Coconut oil locks in moisture and helps its absorption. Applying a thin layer of coconut oil after your regular skincare routine ensures deeper hydration, and subsequently a better result.

When it comes to your body, apply coconut oil right after leaving the shower to lock in the hydration.

no3. Relief to rosacea, eczema, and other skin afflictions.

As a direct consequence of coconut oil’s hydration properties, its ability to keep moisture also makes it ideal for treating extremely dry skin, a symptom of many skin conditions.

Similarly, its potent anti-inflammatory effect makes it highly effective against rosacea and eczema, while plenty of its active components sooth irritation and reduce redness.

no4. Cooking at high heat.

Coconut oil is high in saturated fat, a type of fat that does not turn toxic when exposed to high temperatures. Similarly, it takes a lot to burn, meaning that it can last up to eight hours of continuous heat exposure without losing its quality.

Subsequently, it’s ideal for pan-frying, deep-frying, stir-frying, and other types of high heat cooking.

no5. Insect repellent.

Some of the components within coconut oil, such as lauric acid and capric acid, have strong repellent properties against mosquitoes, ticks, bedbugs, and other pests and critters. Subsequently, it makes for a healthier, non-toxic alternative to commercial products.

Add some drops of citronella essential oil to virgin coconut oil, and apply on exposed skin every few hours for maximum effectiveness.

no6. Fat substitute during baking.

Coconut oil makes for a full, healthier, and vegan substitution for any fat using during baking. To replace butter, use it in its solid state, while you can use its liquid form to replace oil.

Its substitute rate is 1:1, so you don’t need to convert the quantities of your recipe. Just be warned—butter has a small percentage of water and coconut oil does not, so your cookies may come out a bit crispier.

no7. Lip balm.

Due to its pro-moisturizing properties, coconut oil makes for an excellent DIY lip balm. It hydrates and protects your lips from the elements, creating a barrier that shields your lips from damaging agents.

For extra benefit, you can combine it with other beneficial substances, such as cocoa butter and olive oil.

no8. Body scrub and foot rub.

The richness of coconut oil makes it the perfect primary substance for an all-natural exfoliator. Add white sugar, organic coconut sugar, or ground coffee beans to make a face, body, or foot scrub to remove dead skin cells.

Similarly, apply organic coconut oil on cracked heels to reduce dryness and eliminate bacteria.

No9. Furniture polish.

Wood, metal, and granite are some of the surfaces that can get a new lustrous look with the help of coconut oil. Not only it will make your surfaces shiny and smooth, but it will also cover scratches and reduce dust accumulation.

no11. Gum remover.

So, that chewing gum made its way to your or your child’s hair. Now what?

no12. Baby ointment.

Coconut’s oil anti-inflammatory properties can also soothe diaper rash and other painful skin conditions on babies. All-natural and gentle, it will reduce the swelling, itching, and burn within minutes.

Apply regularly around the vulnerable area to avoid further irritation, since the thick oil acts as a barrier—not to mention it does not ruin cloth nappies!

no13. Sun protection.

It may seem a contradiction, but coconut oil can also protect your skin from the sun—

Luckily there are many ways to help you survive the day on a few hours’ sleep and keep you alert and awake.
You just need to follow a strategy or change your routine a little bit by adding the following steps to survive the day. So, let's go through each step to keep your mood, health, and brain function relatively intact and to make the best out of your day.
No1 Get more sunlight
Our natural sleep cycles follow the day and night patterns. Sunlight gives our brain an alarm that it’s the time to get up and busy ourselves in our chores and work.
If you had not slept enough the last night or hardly slept at all, the first thing you must do after waking up is to lift the curtains and allow the sunlight through your window. Or go outside for a quick ten-minute walk to bask yourself in sunlight.
If sunlight is not an option, turn on all the lights in the room to cue your brain to be up and active and its not the time to be in bed.
No2 Stay hydrated
The next thing you must do after waking up from a few hours' sleep is to drink water. Water is a proven energy drink that helps to keep you awake and energized. We are sometimes feeling fatigued when waking up because of dehydration.
So, the more water we drink, the more active and awake we feel. Try to drink eight to ten glasses of water as the major component of our body is water. The more we stay hydrated, the fresher we will feel.
No 3 Get a cold shower
After a few hours’ sleep the night before, your brain will be in an inactive phase even after waking up.
A cold shower helps to stimulate your body. So, if you are living in a warm country, try to take a cold shower in the morning. It will help to stimulate your brain and will wake you up.
If you feel sleepy during the day, splash cold water on your face in the restroom at work. Or if ice cubes are available then keep them on your temple or wrists. It will give your brain a sudden shock to stay awake and will prevent you from falling asleep on your desk.
No 4 Warm-up your blood
People living in colder regions of the world don’t worry because we have a replacement for a cold shower, especially for you. Every one of us has heard that exercise is a great way to stay up and awake.
It boosts our energy, speeds up the metabolism, and increases the adrenaline hormone circulation in our blood through circulation. It supplies more oxygen to the cells especially the muscles to follow chemical reactions happening in our body during exercise.
So, in short, a workout is the best way to wake up your mind and body, and to get better blood circulation and oxygen flow to your tissues.

No5 Have a good breakfast
The next important step to help you survive your day with a few hours’ sleep is your breakfast. Prioritize your meal and be selective in what you eat. Avoid going for snacks or simple sugar and carbs in the breakfast.
Try to incorporate more protein in any form you like in your breakfast. Whether in the form of hard-boiled eggs or some leftover veggies and meat. As proteins and complex carbs provide you more energy that you are going to need for the rest of your day.
No6 Have a coffee
Before leaving for work or starting the daily house chores make yourself a coffee first. It will quickly boost up your energy level and is a great tool to survive during the day after a few hours’ sleep the night before.
Coffee not only helps you feel more energized but also gives a kick-start to your brain by binding with your brain’s nerve receptors. This binding gives your pituitary gland an emergency call to release the adrenaline.
That helps you keep active and alert and stop sleep hangovers. But be patient with your caffeine doses as overdosing will just make you agitated instead of energizing. And avoid taking coffee in late afternoons as it will disturb your sleep cycle for the next night too.
No7 Take a power nap
The human body is designed in a way that if your sleep deprive your body; it will start feeling energy deprived. The afternoon energy lulls are something that everyone faces.
So, if you are already sleep-deprived, these hangovers are going to be more intense than usual. So, try to take a power nap if possible.
Even if you don’t fall into a deep sleep at this time, just closing your eyes can have a very relaxing effect on your brain and body. Just set your alarm, close your eyes and rest for at least twenty minutes. It will do wonders.
No8 Listen to music
During the day if you feel dizzy or start falling asleep, listen to your favorite tunes. It will help to stimulate your brain and will help you keep going. Try to sing with the song as it will activate your cognitive abilities along with hearing, that will further help in awakening your brain.
No9 Turn-up the fans and lights
We all have experienced that a warm and cozy environment accelerates mental fatigue. So, if you are already sleep-deprived because of few hours of sleep, this such environment will trigger your sleep more.
